While Derek still has a long way to go learning and putting into practice the intricacies of the sport of wrestling, he did taste his first victory last night. It was my first experience watching a wrestling meet, and after learning the point system and some basic strategies, I was into it.
Derek lost his first match against a guy from Fenton HS.
Looks like he’s going in for the tackle here.
The second match ended up much better for Derek. You may want to turn your computer down to watch the following video. My date for the evening was a tad exuberant.
