Drones, Piggies, and More

Jeremy got a drone for his birthday, and everyone is having some fun with it. He took an overhead picture of our house:

The boys thought it would be fun to video themselves playing whiffle ball in the backyard.

We built an outdoor enclosure for the piggies. They enjoy munching on grass and having a little more elbow room than they do in their cages. We do get a chuckle, though, when every time a bird chirps, the piggies growl. They do not like birds.

Ruth made some money selling lemonade with the neighbors.

And if you ever wondered how football players bond…watch this. That would be Peter in the Raptors shirt, winning the chocolate milk chugging contest. #proudmom

Teenage Launch

Jeremy celebrated his 13th birthday last month, which means we have another teenager in the family. I love how this guy is growing up and maturing, with a love for knowing God’s word.

Naturally, we started the special day with birthday pancakes.

Then the kids and I hopped in the car to go to Great America–the perfect way to spend a birthday!

Ruth was happy that she was tall enough to ride all the thrill rides. Though she did learn that it cuts both ways–she was told by the operator of a kiddie ride that she was too tall!

It was a great day celebrating a great kid!
