I’ve always loved the picture of pure, white snow covering the brown grass and dormant trees. It’s a picture of how Jesus’ righteousness covers us when we believe in Him. This has already been written about on our blog (Probably more than once).

Recently, when looking out on our snow-covered lawn, I observed another interesting snowy analogy.

Snow reveals.

We would barely know about our new (smelly) nocturnal neighbors if it weren’t for the white powder covering the ground. But as it is, we can easily find where these creatures are residing, just by following the footprints.

Is it any different for a person when they walk in the light of God’s truth? The light reveals the things hidden in the darkness (i.e. sin). Thanks be to God that not only does He reveal the smelly sin in us, but He sets us free from it!
