This kid is continually discovering something intriguing…his mind is always chugging. The other day, he excitedly called me over to look at what he stumbled upon.

He had a telescope lens in his hand, reflecting the window onto a piece of paper.

It was pretty amazing–a clear reflection of the outdoors. Except for the fact that everything was upside down, it was as though I was looking out a window.

It reminded me of the passage in 1 Corinthians that talks about the contrast between the present state of the world and that wonderful day when Jesus comes back:

For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
