This is the one time of year that the geese are actually more entertaining than they are annoying. They arrive in droves to the pond out back, and what makes the scene so entertaining is the changing terrain of the pond. Once it begins to freeze, the geese have a difficult time navigating and keeping their balance as they move around.

But they adapt. Rather than move around, they stand still. On one leg even.
