Organization for the new year

With 3 students in our homeschool with 3 different sets of curriculum, the bookshelves are nearly bursting at the seams. After looking online at seat back pouches (and their prices), I decided to try my hand at making them myself. Duck canvas happened to be on sale, which means I was able to make four pouches for a total of $12.

I’ve posted the instructions on the “Printable Projects” page. And because we seem to have pencils scattered all over the house, half of them missing their erasers due to a certain one year-old girl with lots of teeth, I am considering attaching a small pouch on the front of the large pouch to hold writing utensils.

Life is Good

After playing the game of Life as a family last night, Peter said, “Life is such a fun game; I love playing it.”

I looked at him seriously (sarcastically) and said, “Peter, life is no game.”

Then Jeremy piped up with his pithy wisdom, “And that’s why we need to savor it!”

Where this 4 year-old learned the word savor, I have no idea. But his use and timing of it was impeccable, to be sure.
