Potties and Puppies

Guess what we’ve been up to lately.  Lots of talk about bodily functions and canines.  

What’s the connection, you ask?  Ever since Jake was little, the deal has been, once all the kids in the family are potty-trained, we can get a dog.

Looks like we better start looking for a puppy!  Jeremy’s brothers were very motivated to help by reading books and singing songs to him while he sat on the potty.  And Jeremy’s motivation? Good old candy.

  1. A puppy is a great idea!!! Go to petfinder.com to look for puppies in your area at shelters – there are some cute ones. If you’d like a Saint Bernard for a week or so for a trial run, I can think of a certain 1 year old pup who would LOVE to come play with the boys!

  2. Wow, Jackie, talk about jumping in with both feet!! If we took Winston for a week, we’d need to build an addition on the house :) Thanks for the website tip.

  3. You wouldn’t need a new addition – just give him his own bath tub to lay in, a big bone or stick to chew on and let him take the boys for a run and Winston’s happy as can be! Maybe my mom should just bring him when she comes this weekend?!? I’m sure we can find a bow to put on his head to make it seem like a gift!
