For the past nearly two weeks, we have enjoyed the old fashioned method of communication as we write letters back and forth with Jake. Ruth’s letter that she wrote last night is worth sharing (with transcription):
“Dear Jake.
I love you so much. Hope you are having a good time. I hope you’re having fun. Thanks for the letters. Remember Molly misses you so much! I hope the cadre do not !!!!! at you. I’m sorry for the bad handwriting but it was the best I could do.
Love Ruth”
This is so precious and will probably be one of Jake’s favorite letters. I was actually able to read it without your translation. You can tell that she really misses her big brother. I sure would like to know what was going on in her head when she wrote !!!!!!!!. She must know that the Cadre may be screening the letters and didn’t want to get him in trouble :-) I’ve been adding Bible verses to mine for two reasons – to encourage Jake and to witness to the Cadre.
