Let’s Have a Tea Party

The girls in the Giere clan are way outnumbered, thus, we must seek out special ways to celebrate their sugar-and-spice-girlyness. This year, we had a tea party. An American Girl tea party.

The girls were to bring their own special dolls. Since Ruthie is not exactly into dolls (yet?) she brought her Fisher Price wild-haired doll. I’m sure if dolls could talk and interact, dolly would have been a bit self-conscious of her appearance. But she (and Ruthie) were blissfully unaware. The dolls had their own seats at the table, along with their very own tea cups.

The food was actually quite tasty, and beautifully presented.

We had a chance to walk around the store–a first time experience for Ruthie and me. When we found a doll named Ruthie, Ruthie was beside herself with excitement.

In her excitement, she plopped wild-haired dolly face down, backside sticking up on the luxury camper display table. There she laid for several minutes before we realized she was missing. Thankfully, no one swiped her and we were able to retrieve her with not a hair missing from her head.

We found the Lego Store next door and stopped by to say hello to a Friend.

Thanks, Mom, for the special treat and the opportunity to do something girly together!

  1. This is HILARIOUS! Elizabeth has a doll named Sally that is crazy-haired as well. Love how she was lost and found:).
