It was the first permanent settlement in America. And as with the battlefield at Yorktown, the area has been remarkably well-preserved.

We embarked on our journey here by completing some Jr. Ranger activities.

As we walked around the visitor center, we enjoyed reading and learning about those brave and determined settlers. Have I mentioned how much Jake LOVES having his picture taken lately?

Even Ruthie got into it.
